Revolution

In a world ever-accelerating towards an autonomous future, user acceptance of automation technology is crucial to realizing its forward trajectory. In the automotive industry, automation is of particular concern due to the potential safety and efficiency benefits it may provide. While the engineering and manufacture of core technologies to support this function are both large factors in the automation's efficacy, little attention is being paid to educating consumers on these technologies as they become available.

Inflammatory news articles cite single autonomous crashes as a tragedy, while every day, 90 people die in fatal crashes from non-autonomous vehicles β€” users are primed to eschew automation and let someone else take the risk first. Revolution is a dealership simulator that closes that gap. Gold, Rookie Awards 2021.

How I work

Judgment is the deliverable

Research

Interviews, analytics, and journey mapping come first. I design from evidence β€” and I'm honest when the evidence changes my mind.

User Insights

Understanding the users is one of the most vital aspects of UX.

Trade-offs, out loud

Every case study has a dedicated trade-offs section: performance over flash, accessibility over novelty, and what got cut to ship.

Now growing

The Garden

A living pixel garden, hand-coded in Canvas and TypeScript β€” no libraries. Plant procedural seeds, water them, discover mutations, and come back to see what evolved while you were away. It remembers you.
